The Minimal Resolution Conjecture for Points on the Cubic Surface
In this paper we prove that the generalized version of the Minimal Resolution Conjecture stated in [7] holds for certain general sets of points on a smooth cubic surface X ⊂ P. The main tool used is Gorenstein liaison theory and, more precisely, the relationship between the free resolutions of two linked schemes.

متن کاملOn a free boundary problem and minimal surfaces
From minimal surfaces such as Simons’ cone and catenoids, using refined Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method, we construct new solutions for a free boundary problem whose free boundary has two components. In dimension 8, using variational arguments, we also obtain solutions which are global minimizers of the corresponding energy functional. This shows that Savin’s theorem [43] is optimal.
